My name is Thongbor James Panchol, and I am a second-year Precision Agriculture student at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. Having arrived in Canada a year ago, I was amazed by how multicultural and diverse this country is. As a new student, I tried to connect with both international and Canadian students, and these interactions have helped me adapt and feel more connected to the college community.

I understand that adapting to a new country and environment can be challenging, especially when cultural differences create barriers to interaction. I believe that engaging with people from different backgrounds helps us learn, grow, and build a stronger community.

This is why I am running for the Board of Directors as an International Student representative. I want to be a voice for international students, encourage greater interaction between students from different backgrounds, and help create a more inclusive and connected collegecommunity.

As an approachable person and very committed to representing students’ experiences, I encourage members to vote for me. I will listen to students, bring their concerns forward, and work toward a college community where everyone
