Faith Afolayan
Vice President Advocacy
Being a student comes with questions, and having support makes all the difference.
My name is Anointed-Faith Afolayan, and I am running for Vice President Advocacy.
As a student at Olds College and a Student Ambassador, I have had the opportunity to engage
with students across different programs and backgrounds. Through these interactions and from
firsthand experience, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate college life, especially
when it comes to accessing support services, managing academic and personal stress, and
knowing where to turn when issues arise.
Olds College does many things right in supporting students, and there are strong resources in
place. That is exactly why student advocacy matters. From conversations with fellow students, I
have come to relate with concerns around navigating support systems, communication gaps,
and students feeling unsure about available resources. These experiences are what motivates
me to run for VP Advocacy.
My focus is to represent student concerns clearly and respectfully, improve awareness and
access to support services, and advocate for student well-being and inclusion. I want to help
amplify student voices and ensure students feel represented in conversations with college
leadership. My goal is to make advocacy at Olds College feel approachable, practical, and
student focused.
I bring a calm, organized, and collaborative leadership style, along with experience listening to
students and working within structured environments. Most importantly, I care about showing up
for students and making sure their voices are heard.
I would be honoured to earn your vote.
